Media
The CoinPost Editorial Department, established when the company was founded in August 2017, was our genesis division and remains our core business.
With a team of writers representing diverse backgrounds and cultures, our low employee turnover rate speaks to our teamwork and flexibility.
Since its inception, our news site has grown to rank third in the world among cryptocurrency websites for 22 consecutive months (according to SimilarWeb), surpassed only by English-language media. Among Japanese media, we remain the top crypto asset (virtual currency) news outlet. On social media, we have amassed over 160,000 Twitter followers (as of July 2022).
While firsthand information from overseas, mainly from the U.S., continues to lead, we emphasize speed and objectivity in our news articles for the Japanese market, as well as breadth of content including guides for beginners and interviews with industry experts.
Movie
CoinPost is pioneering a new type of film production called "Web 3.0 Film" that uses infrastructure built with blockchain and NFT technology.
Until now, only production teams and a few companies and organizations have been able to make movies. However, blockchain/NFT tech has the potential to enable a wider community of companies and individuals to participate, so we are forging the way to a new film production framework.
Our first step was to work with NOMA, an international production team, to:
① Produce an international film entitled "The Rhetoric Star" about crypto assets (completed)
② Establish new film production infrastructure using blockchain technology (underway)
YouTube
CoinPost, in collaboration with Gentosha's "New Economy", delivers noteworthy news on the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry as well as fun content for beginners on our YouTube channel, #CONNECTV.
We create content that only Japan's leading crypto asset and blockchain media outlet can offer, providing information and explanations via video that cannot be conveyed in articles alone.
Welfare x Web3.0
CoinPost and WellsTech Inc., a web-specific welfare-to-work support facility operator, established Wave 3 Inc., which utilizes blockchain games and Web 3 to enable people with disabilities to earn crypto assets playing blockchain games but get paid in Japanese yen for these assets as contractors.
In the future, we plan to establish a game guild specializing in supporting people with disabilities, issue our own NFTs, form a DAO, and raise funds for further support.
Proof of Concept
NFT Ads
To verify whether NFTs can improve the efficiency of ad space transactions, we conducted trials in Omotesando and Ginza.
We explored how automating settlement through smart contracts could improve cash flow for ad space transactions and what the response was to trading ad spaces as NFTs.

We are also testing how incorporating token incentives into article reading and comment posting improves media operation and reader engagement.
